You can specify a vehicle&#8217;s capacity, loading time, shift time, skill sets, associated costs, and other necessary information.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before learning about how to add vehicles and their details, it is also important to learn about fleet types. Fleet Types represent specific types of vehicles that you may be using for your logistics operations. Multiple vehicles can belong to a single fleet type. You can define a fleet type for multiple vehicles that have several similar properties, such as capacity, cost details, or shift details. You can then tag the relevant fleet type to a vehicle during vehicle creation. This can be considered in Trip Planning.<br>&#8211; Loading Time (in mins): Time (in minutes) taken to load orders in the vehicle. This can be considered in Trip Planning.<br><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b>Fleet Details<\/b><\/span><b><br><\/b>&#8211; Fleet Type: The fleet type that this vehicle belongs to. Once you select the fleet type, several other fields get auto-populated if their values have already been defined for your selected fleet type.<br>&#8211; Make: Manufacturer associated with the selected fleet type.<br>&#8211; Capacity: Capacity of the vehicle in units\/weight\/volume.<br><strong>Note:<\/strong> Units can refer to either the quantity of orders or crates. This is determined by the settings you configure in the &#8216;Capacity Optimization Parameters&#8217; of your Planning Profile (Settings > Trip Planning Configuration > Planning Profile > Capacity Optimization Parameters).<br>&#8211; Skill Set: Applicable skill sets. To learn more about skill sets, click <a href=\"https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/index.php\/2021\/09\/15\/fleet-configuration\/\">here<\/a>.<br>&#8211; Maximum Stops<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:\u00a0 Here, you can set the maximum number of pickup\/delivery stops that can be made by this vehicle in a trip. Note that Maximum Stops values are considered during Trip Planning only if the constraint Maximum Number of Stops is enabled in the Planning Profile. This is factored in during trip planning if the Consider Fleet Category property is enabled in your Planning Profile.<br>&#8211; Add Compartment Details: Select this checkbox if the vehicle has any compartments. Once selected, the fields for Compartment Name and Number of Compartments will also be displayed, wherein you can specify multiple compartments and their quantities.<br>&#8211; Minimum Capacity Utilization(%): Minimum percentage value of capacity that the vehicle must carry in a trip. This is considered in Trip Planning when the Planning Objective is Optimize Fleet Capacity.<br>&#8211; Variable Cost ($): Per unit distance cost associated with the vehicle. This is considered in Trip Planning when the Planning Objective is Optimize Fleet Capacity or Optimize Time and Distance.<br>&#8211; Transporter Time Cost ($): Cost that would be incurred when the vehicle is on a trip. This is considered in Trip Planning when the Planning Objective is Optimize Fleet Capacity or Optimize Time and Distance.<br>&#8211; Waiting Time Cost ($): Cost incurred in waiting for order completion. Total waiting time is calculated as Total Trip Time \u2013 (Total Transit Time between Orders + Total Service Time of all Orders in a trip). Furthermore, in an End-to-End account, you can link a tracker to the vehicle using the Tracker ID field. After you select the Branch Name, you will be able to view a list of all the available (which have not been linked to any vehicles) trackers that have been linked with that branch in the Tracker ID field. From there, you can easily select the appropriate tracker for your vehicle.
