{"id":4803,"date":"2018-03-06T09:10:24","date_gmt":"2018-03-06T09:10:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/?p=4803"},"modified":"2026-01-28T09:40:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T09:40:08","slug":"outscan-orders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/index.php\/2018\/03\/06\/outscan-orders\/","title":{"rendered":"Outscan Orders"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\t<div class=\"dkpdf-button-container\" style=\" text-align:left \">\n\n\t\t<a class=\"dkpdf-button\" href=\"\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4803?pdf=4803\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"dkpdf-button-icon\"><i class=\"fa fa-file-pdf-o\"><\/i><\/span> Download PDF<\/a>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"article-tab\">\n<li><a href=\"#\/2018\/03\/06\/outscan-orders\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Desktop\/Laptop<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#\/2023\/12\/22\/outscan-orders-2\/\">Mobile App<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Outscanning refers to the process of scanning the orders as they are shipped out of a branch. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can either be done manually or through a barcode scanning process.\u00a0<\/span>As inscanning tells you the number of orders received at your branch, outscanning helps you know how many of the inscanned orders are out of your branch, to ensure that the branch&#8217;s\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">inventory records are accurate and up-to-date<\/span>. You can outscan orders anytime after the orders are inscanned.<\/p>\n<p>To enable scan operations, specify which entities (Order Number, Manifest ID, Crate Code, AWB Number) can be scanned, and at what stage of the order lifecycle can they be scanned, go to Settings &gt; Order Lifecycle Management, toggle ON the Branch Scan Process property, and select the required configurations. Note that you can also outscan the orders using the Create Manifest API (more details available on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/products.loginextsolutions.com\/product\/#\/developersPortal\">Developer Portal<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>You can outscan specific orders together. This creates a manifest of those orders. You can either fill in the Manifest ID or else it will be auto-generated by the system.<\/li>\n<li>Manifest Category:\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicable category of the manifest. For example, if the manifest is a bag containing two or more orders, select Bag as the Manifest Category.<br \/>\n<strong>Note:<\/strong> You can also create a custom Manifest Category. To create a new Manifest Category, go to Settings &gt; Module Configuration &gt; Manifests &gt; Manifest Management &gt; Add Manifest Category.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Outscan By: Here you can select one of the following options that is the most suitable for your operations:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Order: Select Outscan By Order if you simply want to create a manifest with some orders and aren&#8217;t concerned at the moment with checking which vehicle or delivery associate shall be delivering them.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Trip: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select Outscan by Trip if you want to check the details of the delivery associate and trip during the outscan. Upon selecting this option, additional fields will appear for specifying the delivery associate and trip. Once you select a certain delivery associate and trip, only the associated orders will be outscanned whereas any order outside the selected trip will occur as invalid.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Branch: This option is only available in an End-to-End account. Select Outscan by Branch to create a manifest using the Origin Branch, Next Branch, Service Type, and delivery associate details.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Courier: Select Outscan by Courier if you have configured specific couriers and would like to outscan the orders belonging to a certain courier together. Click Enter. The entities you will be allowed to scan (order number, manifest ID, crate code, or AWB number) will depend on your configurations, as explained earlier in the article. Based on this Scan ID, several other fields on the page, such as Total Weight and Total Volume, will get auto-populated. The order will appear in the list below, under the Orders tab. If you have outscanned by order, the system would generate a Manifest ID starting with &#8216;O-&#8216;, followed by 12 digits. Similarly, if orders are outscanned by trip, the Manifest ID would start with &#8216;T-&#8216;, followed by 12 digits; if orders are outscanned by courier, it would start with &#8216;C-&#8216;, followed by 12 digits. If the orders have been outscanned by branch, the Manifest ID will be generated based on your configurations in the Manifest ID Configuration module (Settings &gt; Module Configuration &gt; Manifests &gt; Manifest Management &gt; Generate Manifest ID). The Scan Status of these orders will be Outscanned. You can also mark the manifest as Handed Over once you have handed it over to a delivery associate.
