You can configure various ETA calculation parameters through the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/index.php\/2019\/03\/25\/eta-properties\/\">ETA profile<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><b>How does the system calculate ETAs?\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>The system calculates ETA for the customer considering:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Time to load orders in a trip<\/u>: You can enter the time it takes to load an order. Based on the number of orders that are part of the trip, the system would calculate the time at which the delivery associate should start from the branch to reach the customer&#8217;s location on time.<\/li>\n<li><u>Travel time to reach customer location<\/u>: In order to calculate the travel time, the planning engine takes into account the distance between orders and the traffic conditions of the route suggested to the delivery associate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>When does the system calculate ETAs?<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Planning orders<\/u>: This is the first time the system calculates ETAs to reach customer locations. It includes the time to load the orders in the trip, time to reach the customer, and service time of the order. You can view the planned time and distance in <a href=\"https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/index.php\/2018\/01\/17\/delivery-run-sheet-drs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DRS<\/a> as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/#\/2018\/03\/07\/order-history-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">order history<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><u>Trip Start<\/u>: ETAs would be recalculated when you start the trip. The new ETAs would also consider order distance and traffic conditions for the routes.\u00a0 ETAs calculated while planning would be overridden by the ETAs calculated on trip start. Based on the alert settings, customers associated with the orders would be notified of the time at which they should expect the delivery associate for pickup or delivery.<\/li>\n<li><u>Delivering orders<\/u>: ETAs also get revised when delivery associates start delivering the orders. When the delivery associate checks out after completing an order, the system would calculate ETA for the next customer. If the new ETA is before or later than the set threshold, customers would get an alert with the new time.<\/li>\n<li><u>Resume from break:<\/u>\u00a0Delivery associates can go on a break during the pickup\/delivery process.
