When multiple customers have orders with the same pickup\/delivery location, you can enable Bulk Pickup\/Delivery<\/a> for your delivery associates, allowing them to fulfill all orders in one go, i.e., in a single pickup\/delivery cycle. For instance, Bulk Delivery can be especially helpful when delivering all the orders of a hotel\u2019s guests to the concierge, or all the orders of a company\u2019s employees to the office receptionist.<\/p>\n

Conversely, <\/span>when a single customer has multiple orders with the same pickup\/delivery location, you can enable Order Grouping, letting delivery associates fulfill all orders for that customer in one go. This is especially useful when frequent pickups or deliveries happen from the same location\u2014for example, if all your pickups occur from a branch, you can enable automatic grouping of all the pickup orders to streamline the process and reduce multiple repetitive steps.<\/span><\/p>\n

By enabling the \u2018Group Order\u2019 access for your delivery associates, you allow automatic grouping of multiple orders with the same pickup\/delivery location. To do so, go to Settings > Driver App Management > Access Profiles > Order Management and Automation > Current Orders > Group Order. Note:<\/strong> To use this feature, ensure that you have enabled Customer Profiling (Settings > Module Configuration > Customer Configuration > Customer Profiling).<\/span><\/p>\n

You can also send a single alert to the customer\/merchant for multiple orders that are grouped, instead of sending separate alerts for each order. To do so, go to Settings > Customer Experience Management > Alert Profiles > Enable Group Alerts.

The unit measurements of the group order, such as weight, volume, and total number of items, will be summed up in the group alert. For instance, in an order containing 3 items with weight (kg) of 10, 20, 30, and volume (cc) of 20, 10, 10, the group alert would sum this up to show a total weight of 60 kg and a total volume of 40 cc.<\/span><\/p>\n
