Factors that affect the time taken by planning engine are:<div><ol><li><u>Business Model:<\/u> System can be used for only delivering orders or both pickups and deliveries. System automatically creates pickup and delivery orders when the system is used for pickup and delivery. This doubles up the number of orders actually selected for planning, thereby affecting the time for planning. This doubling of orders does not happen when system is used for deliveries only.<\/li><li><u>Number of Orders:<\/u> Time taken for planning is directly proportional to the number of orders selected for the plan.\u00a0<\/li><li><u>Delivery Associate Skills:<\/u> More diverse the delivery associate skill set, more time system would take for planning as system would try and assign orders to delivery associates of a specific skill set.\u00a0<\/li><li><u>Number of Unique Delivery Types:<\/u> Unique delivery types are calculated by system on basis of capacity of delivery associates in units,weight and volume.
