These plans define backup and recovery mechanisms along with the corresponding Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs).

LogiNext recognizes that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach when determining RPO and RTO requirements. Therefore, our engineering teams assess the Maximum Tolerable Period of Disruption (MTPD) on an application-by-application and dataset-by-dataset basis. Based on this assessment, protection layers are designed according to classifications such as existentially critical, mission-critical, and performance-optimized systems.

LogiNext has architected its AWS instances and storage data within multiple geographic regions as well as across multiple Availability Zones within each region. Each Availability Zone is designed as an independent failure zone. This means that Availability Zones are physically separated within a typical metropolitan region and are located in lower risk flood plains (specific flood zone categorisation varies by region).

In addition to dedicated Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and onsite backup generation facilities, each Availability Zone is connected through independent utility grids to reduce single points of failure. Furthermore, Availability Zones are redundantly connected to multiple network providers to help ensure high availability and network resilience.

By distributing applications across multiple Availability Zones, LogiNext enhances resilience against infrastructure failures, hardware failures, localized outages, and other operational disruptions within the AWS region. Regular backup and recovery procedures are maintained to support business continuity and disaster recovery objectives.

Recovery Time Objective (RTO): 1 hour

Recovery Point Objective (RPO): 15 minutes

Business Continuity and Data Recovery Plans are reviewed and updated monthly at LogiNext.

RPO & RTO are key metrics used in the enterprise software industry to define a software provider’s Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP). The RTO (Recovery Time Objective) represents the maximum acceptable duration required to restore services after an outage. The RPO (Recovery Point Objective) defines the maximum acceptable amount of data loss measured in time.

Refer to the following AWS Business Continuity Documents for more details:

AWS: Risk and Compliance

Disaster Recovery of On-Premises Applications to AWS

Disaster Recovery of Workloads on AWS

Download PDF One of the key best practices followed by LogiNext is evaluating the risk of data loss—the most valuable assets of our customers—and establishing comprehensive Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) plans.
