You can manage a master list of all the vehicle types that you can use in your operations. This can be used across your organization to manage your operations in a standard manner.<br \/>\nTo add a new vehicle type:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to Fleet&gt; Fleet Type.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Add button to create a new fleet type.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-14213\" src=\"https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screenshot-2023-08-03-at-2.12.48-PM-300x100.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"615\" height=\"205\" srcset=\"https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screenshot-2023-08-03-at-2.12.48-PM-300x100.png 300w, https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screenshot-2023-08-03-at-2.12.48-PM-768x255.png 768w, https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screenshot-2023-08-03-at-2.12.48-PM-1024x340.png 1024w, https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screenshot-2023-08-03-at-2.12.48-PM.png 2022w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 615px) 100vw, 615px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Provide the following information about the fleet type:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul style=\"font-family: 'Titillium Web', sans-serif;\">\n<li><u>Fleet Type:<\/u>\u00a0Name of the fleet type.<\/li>\n<li><u>Fleet Make:<\/u>\u00a0Make of the fleet type.<\/li>\n<li><u>Fleet Capacity:<\/u>\u00a0Capacity in terms of units, weight, and volume.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note: Units can refer to either the quantity of orders or crates. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is determined by the settings you configure in the &#8216;Capacity Optimization Parameters&#8217; of your Planning Profile <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Settings &gt; Trip Planning Configuration &gt; Planning Profile &gt; Capacity Optimization Parameters).<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Minimum Capacity Utilization (%)<\/span>: The minimum percentage values of capacity that must be occupied at the time of starting a trip. To learn more about this parameter, click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/index.php\/2021\/09\/15\/fleet-configuration\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><u>Fleet Skill:<\/u>\u00a0Skill set of the fleet type.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Maximum Stops<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">:<\/span>\u00a0 Here, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you can set the maximum number of pickup\/delivery stops that can be made by this fleet type in a trip. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note that Maximum Stops values are considered during Trip Planning only if the constraint Maximum Number of Stops is enabled in the Planning Profile. To learn more about Maximum Stops, click <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/support.loginextsolutions.com\/#\/2018\/01\/18\/route-planning-properties-2\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Category<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Category of the fleet type. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is factored in during trip planning if the Consider Fleet Category property is enabled in your Planning Profile<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Add Compartment Details<\/span>: Select this checkbox if the fleet type has any compartments. Upon selecting this checkbox, the fields for Compartment Name and Number of Compartments will also be displayed, wherein you can specify multiple compartments and their quantities.<\/li>\n<li><u>Fixed Cost:<\/u>\u00a0This is the fixed cost that the vendor charges you per vehicle of this fleet type.<\/li>\n<li><u>Variable Cost:<\/u>\u00a0This is the per km\/mile cost that the vendor charges.<\/li>\n<li><u>Transport Time Cost:<\/u>\u00a0This is a time cost, i.e., the cost incurred when a vehicle of this fleet type is traveling in a trip.<\/li>\n<li><u>Waiting Time Cost:<\/u>\u00a0This is a time cost when a vehicle of this fleet type is waiting for order completion. Total waiting time is calculated as Total Trip Time \u2013 (Total Transit Time between Orders + Total Service Time of all Orders in the Trip).<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Rate Profile<\/span>: Rate Profile associated with the fleet type.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Payout Profile<\/span>: Payout Profile associated with the fleet type.<\/li>\n<li><u>Shift Start Time:<\/u>\u00a0Start time of the fleet type&#8217;s availability in a day.<\/li>\n<li><u>Shift End Time:<\/u>\u00a0Time till which the fleet type would be available in the day.<\/li>\n<li><u>Break Start Time and Break End Time:<\/u>\u00a0The time range within which a driver of this fleet type can take a break for a specified duration, e.g., if the driver may take a break between 1 PM to 1:15 PM, the Break Start Time would be 1 PM and the Break End Time would be 1:15 PM.<\/li>\n<li><u>Break Duration (in mins):<\/u>\u00a0Duration for which the driver can take a break within the shift.<\/li>\n<li><u>Weekly Off Days:<\/u>\u00a0Days on which the fleet type is not available for operations.<\/li>\n<li><u>Maximum Distance (per day):<\/u>\u00a0The maximum distance that the fleet type can travel in a day. This is considered when planning trips.<\/li>\n<li><u>Loading Time (in mins):<\/u>\u00a0Time taken to load orders in the fleet type.
